There's a Tradeshow for that? Part 4

Sure the internet and Google have changed the way we do business and find vendors and partners, but nothing beats the relationships that develop on a trade show floor. It's where we share our ideas, create partnerships and see the latest and greatest first hand.

Over the past year we have featured several great events, conferences and tradeshows on our list of interesting trade shows, including my personal favorite - this blog featuring The International Pizza Expo.

But what do you do if your industry is a bit, um, unique?

Well I bet there's a tradeshow for that!

This month we are showcasing events for the few things that we just can't avoid in life.

Toilets, Taxes and Tombs.

Who needs a portapotty when you have one of these?

Several organizations are dedicated to keeping us going while we are on the go - including the World Toilet Summit held in Malaysia, EuroToi held in Germany and right here in the US, the Portable Sanitation Association International. The PSAI hosted their annual Conference and Expo at the Caribe Royale in Orlando last month.

The trade show displays were put to great use during several activities including a scavenger hunt and a "Reinvent the Toilet" competition. Sessions for event attendees included improving the "user experience" among other sanitation related topics.

Wonder if there's a Squatty Potty for mobile toilets in the works??? Just a thought...

PSAI will also be hosting a smaller event focused on education later in 2017. The Nuts and Bolts Educational Conference will be held in New Orleans this November and will feature speakers, sessions and a tour of the Throne to Go facility, a local PSAI member.

Last month also hosted another conference featuring products we all will need... hopefully later rather than sooner.

The WorldWide Funeral Conference and Expo reported a tremendous turnout this past March, with over 1,100 professionals attending from over 31 countries. What kind of promotional products do you suppose they hand out at this show?

Attendees were on hand to visit over 70 exhibitors and trade show booths, including the latest designs in caskets, cremations systems, statuary and of course hearses.

Kind of makes you want to start your funeral planning now, doesn't it?

Miami Funer only comes around once every two years - their next expo is planned for early 2019.

Remember when I said there's a tradeshow for everything? Turns out there actually isn't an event for taxes! You will however, pay taxes on anything purchased at any tradeshow ever. So there's that.
